DALLAS, Sept. 3, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- The DSC Foundation (DSCF) hosted its annual dinner and fundraising event as part of the Dallas Safari Club Summer Expo & Foundation Gala at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, Texas. The celebration attracted attendees from around the globe, underscoring the growing global reach of Dallas Safari Club and the DSC Foundation as leaders in wildlife conservation, education, and advocacy.

During the Gala, DSCF presented Steve Hornady, President of Hornady Manufacturing Company, with the 2026 DSCF Legacy Award, recognizing his decades of leadership in the shooting sports and conservation communities.

The evening also celebrated the induction of several new members into the Askari Circle, an exclusive recognition reserved for supporters who have contributed $100,000 or more to advance the DSC Foundation's mission.

Global Grants, Measurable Impact

Funds raised through DSC Foundation support conservation and education initiatives around the world. Through targeted grantmaking, the organization translates donor support into tangible conservation success across the globe.

Recent grant recipients include:

  • Tanzania Lion Illumination Project: installs predator-deterrent lighting on livestock enclosures across Tanzania and Uganda, protecting 750 bomas.
  • Eco Defense Group: provides ranger protection for Kruger National Park's threatened rhino population through poacher patrols and arrests.
  • Wild Sheep Society of British Columbia: advanced prescribed-fire habitat treatments for Stone's sheep, restoring 900 acres in spring 2025 and bringing the four-year program total to about 2,500 acres.
  • Wyoming Game and Fish Department: received $20,000 to study how wind energy development affects mule deer on winter range, including the purchase of 25 GPS collars for adult does.
