BOSTON, Aug. 28, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- As sleep health increasingly emerges as an important factor in the prevention and management of cardiovascular disease, the medical community is paying greater attention to the relationship between sleep disorders and cardiovascular conditions.

Major sleep disorders, particularly obstructive sleep apnea, have been consistently associated with a range of cardiovascular conditions, including hypertension, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and stroke. These findings underscore the need for a more integrated approach that incorporates sleep health into cardiovascular risk assessment and disease management.
Against this backdrop, health technology company Philips Korea and AI-powered sleep medicine company HoneyNaps announced that they signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on August 19 to establish a strategic partnership and explore new healthcare opportunities at the intersection of sleep and cardiovascular health.
Under the agreement, the two companies will jointly identify new medical and healthcare business opportunities by examining the relationship between sleep and cardiovascular health. They will also explore potential expansion into cardiology and other cardiovascular disease-related areas.
By combining their respective technologies, solutions, healthcare provider networks, and commercial capabilities, Philips Korea and HoneyNaps aim to generate meaningful synergies and build a sustainable foundation for long-term strategic collaboration.

"This agreement is significant because it brings together the expertise and commercial capabilities of both companies to explore new healthcare opportunities based on the relationship between sleep and cardiovascular health," said Sean Ha (Tae Kyoung Ha), President of HoneyNaps USA.
"Going forward, we will actively explore ways to integrate sleep data with cardiovascular risk factors in cardiology and cardiovascular disease care.
